How It Works
At It’s Going Viral, we use a hydrogen peroxide-based fogging system capable of disinfecting an entire room or enclosed area via our patented pulse technology. This helps ensure the delivery of the exact amount of fog and time needed to achieve a 99.9999% kill rate.
Once the room is filled with fog, the machine will continue to maintain the correct volume in the treatment area for 10 minutes. When the disinfecting process is complete, 99.9999% of bacteria and viruses in that room have been killed.
There are many different types of disinfectants on the market, but many of them leave a toxic residue that can be harmful to humans, pets, and electronic equipment. Chlorine dioxide is a common disinfectant that many other fogging companies use—in addition to leaving a toxic residue after the application, the entire treated area will smell like common household bleach for several hours to several days after treatment.
Hydrogen peroxide, on the other hand, is the most natural and safe disinfectant over all other cleaners. It leaves no residue and no after-smells, which makes it the ideal decontaminate.
Our fogging machine dispenses 250 cubic feet of fog per minute. This means a 1,000 cubic feet room takes four minutes for the fogger to disperse—and only ten additional minutes of the patented pulse technology to ensure everything is killed.
In addition to the fogging machine, our technicians will wipe down everything in the room—from smoke detectors to doorknobs and all high-touch points in between. The cleaning products we use are EPA-approved to kill Coronavirus.
Once the job is complete, you can return to your office, home, or healthcare facility immediately after treatment. As an added benefit, there are no offensive smells or noxious odors leftover whatsoever. Even though we are not a pest control company, one of the perks of our disinfecting services is that sometimes it’s been known to kill bugs, pests, and even mold!
Our patented fogging process achieves a much higher decontamination rate than all disinfecting sprays and wipes. It will also sanitize hard to reach areas due to the fog being able to go where human hands cannot reach. It’s suitable for use in all medical, healthcare, and long-term care environments such as nursing homes, senior living, and acute care facilities.
Own an Airbnb home or property rental company? After we’ve disinfected the residence, you can put a badge on the window or your website that informs potential renters that the area has been professionally decontaminated.
Transportation companies can also benefit greatly. We will disinfect everything from transit buses, ambulances, community buses for the elderly, fleet vehicles, as well as personal and rental cars. Public transportation is one of the biggest transmission points of Coronavirus, and you can help alleviate infection concerns by having your entire fleet disinfected.
Cleaning vs. Disinfecting
There is a significant difference between “cleaning” and “disinfecting.” Cleaning will only remove dirt, impurities, and germs from any given area. It does not kill anything. Disinfecting, on the other hand, will kill pathogens on the surface.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) definition of disinfecting is: “Disinfection describes a process that eliminates many or all pathogenic microorganisms, except bacterial spores, on inanimate objects.”
Our service is a sporicide--which means it goes above and beyond the disinfection definition from the CDC because it kills the individual spores that allow a bacteria/pathogen to reproduce and spread.
Keep this important difference in mind—as standard professional cleaning services will not prevent the spread of COVID-19. Only the patented fogging and disinfecting technology from It’s Going Viral can help disinfect an area and kill viruses and bacteria.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our patented Pulse Technology allows the fog/mist to achieve maximum efficacy by maintaining an optimal filled space creating a consistent dwell-time.
Because each space is different in terms of size, contents, and targeted pathogen, there is no standard answer to this question. To that point—our patented Pulse Technology, coupled with the consistent droplet size, allows our fogging machines to use up to 30% LESS solution than other fogging technologies on the market.
Yes! Our patented fogging system and solutions have been tested extensively for material and electronic compatibility. We continue to test on an on-going basis to ensure the safety of our services.
No, you will be required to wait until the fog dissipates. You can, however, enter if using PPE safety equipment. Our system actively monitors the stages of treatment and will alert when the area is safe to re-enter.
The time it takes to treat a space varies on the size of the area being treated. For example, a smaller room will take less time than a larger one with furniture or other obstacles that will require our professional technicians to manually wipe down before the fogging application.
The system we use is coupled with CURoxide (Hydrogen Peroxide 7% - active ingredient), and combined with our patented system, is EPA-registered.
